چکیده
Climate change led to increased temperature and variable rainfall, which may pose great threats both agricultural productions environmental impacts. In this study, we aim explore how changing climate its extremes in the 20th 21st-century influence system water use efficiency (sWUE) of a corn-soybean cropping rotation humid sub-tropic environment, much can cover crops mitigate these Different from traditional yield-focused (WUE), sWUE addresses production quality goals by considering grain yields all major losses (evapotranspiration, runoff, drainage). A calibrated crop simulation model, Root Zone Water Quality Model version 2 (RZWQM2), was applied simulate losses. The model forced daily data situ observations during 1956–2015 10 downscaled bias corrected General Circulation (GCMs) projections under representative concentration pathways (RCP) 4.5 8.5 scenarios 2020–2079. results showed that, historical baseline future RCP4.5 RCP8.5 scenarios, due growth crops, for corn were improved 1.7%, 2.6% 2.3%, respectively (p-value < 0.001), soybean 0.7% (p = 0.06), 1.0% 0.001) 0.9% 0.001). Soil evaporation, as largest source loss system, significantly decreased 2.3% growing season, 0.7%, season. annual drainage 38 mm, 53 mm 67 baseline, RCP8.5, respectively. With incorporation wheat correlations or precipitation with mostly decreased, suggesting that is an effective means impact on cropping.

Effects of climate change on water use efficiency in rain-fed plants
Water use efficiency (WUE) reflects the coupling of the carbon and water cycles and is an effective integral trait for assessing the responses of vegetated ecosystems to climate change. In this study, field experiments were performed to examine leaf WUE (WUEleaf) in response to changes in CO2 concentration and other environmental variables, including soil moisture and air temperature. We al...
متن کاملPotential effects of individual versus simultaneous climate change factors on growth and water use in chickpea
It has been reported that in different regions and sowing dates, the response of crops to past climate change is not the same, due to different rates of decrease/increase in each climatic variable at different regions and months of year. This study was aimed to assess the effect of individual versus simultaneous changes in solar radiation (S), precipitation (P) and temperature (T) on rainf...
متن کاملIntegrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency and greenhouse gas emission in wheat-corn cropping system
Wheat-corn cropping system is one of the most important grain production systems in theworld. However, the integrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency (NUE)and greenhouse gases (GHGS) emissions are not well documented in this system. Thus, a twoyear field experiment was carried out in a typical wheat-corn cropping system with four tillageregimes during the wheat season, ...
متن کاملCrop Rotation Effects on Soil Quality at Three Northern Corn/Soybean Belt Locations
Do extended crop rotations that include forages improve soil quality and are they profitable? Our objectives were to determine (i) how crop rotation affected soil quality indicators, (ii) if those indicator changes were reflected in soil quality index (SQI) ratings when scored and combined using the Soil Management Assessment Framework, and (iii) how SQI values compared with profitability. Soil...
متن کاملLong-term effects of land application of poultry manure on crop production, and soil and water quality under a corn-soybean rotation system in Iowa
In recent years, the poultry industry has seen a steady growth in Iowa. With the increase in the broiler and egg industry, the public is concerned about the potential threat to environmental quality (surface and subsurface water and air quality) from increased volumes of poultry manure. Although the effect of poultry manure on crop production has been studied, its effects on water quality, unde...
